It has come to our attention that certain comments have been posted on social media concerning White House Farm Medical Centre.

There is always a GP available on the premises and the comment stating there was "no Doctor" is incorrect.

We have a self service machine available in the reception area for you to record weight and Blood pressure.

Please ask our reception staff for a token to use this.

NHS APP for Covid Pass

A letter with the QR code can be requested by ringing 119.

The Covid pass is on the NHS App. 

If you require the QR code  for your children 12 years and over via the NHS App, they need to have the App in their own name. This means assessment of the child and an appointment with a GP is necessary. Please arrange this well in advance of your planned holiday. Thank you.

We are now offering telephone appointments which can be booked either through online services or the NHS App.

If you are coming to the surgery for a face to face appointment, please attend on your own and wear a face mask. Adults who require physical or emotional support can have one carer or relative attend with them if not having someone present would cause distress or difficulty.

Children can be accompanied by one parent or legal guardian.


We are accepting new patient registrations at the practice.

We no longer request visitors to wear facemasks, unless you have a cough, and we would request in the best interest of staff and patients, that you wear a face mask while at the surgery.

We have started to offer the Spring Covid booster vaccination at the surgery.

These vaccinations are for the over 75's and the immunosuppressed.

This service is set up to request repeat prescriptions and deal with non-urgent medical queries/problems. You can ask about Fit notes, questions about a referral, and test results.

A message for all Doncaster residents:

There are currently extreme pressures across our health services in Doncaster. This is in common with most other areas of the country where we’re all dealing with a mix of complex factors leading to huge levels of demand.


GP surgeries are working through long lists of requests for appointments and call-backs which we appreciate can cause frustration for patients and the perception sometimes that we are not open.


Surgeries and pharmacies have worked incredibly hard to provide services throughout the Covid-19 crisis and continue to do so.


The way patients are responded to had to change quickly over the pandemic with many more video and telephone consultations taking place to help protect everyone and prioritise those most in need. And we know many patients appreciate not having to attend their surgery in person when the problem can be safely dealt with remotely.


However, if you are assessed as needing a face-to-face appointment you can still have one though you may have to wait a bit longer.


We want everyone to understand what we’re doing in Doncaster, why we’re doing it and what you might be able to do to help us and help yourselves.


What we’re doing

GP surgeries are working hard to cope with the additional demands placed on them which includes bringing in more staff in diverse professional roles to help.


Extra funding and support is also being shared across South Yorkshire to help increase capacity and make even more appointments available.


We are also investing more in technology to improve communication and efficiency across the system and releasing people from tasks that can be automated to focus on those that need to be done in person.

  •     Call 999 only in a genuine, life-threatening emergency

While we understand your frustrations if you struggle to get through to us, or are unhappy with what is available, aggression and abuse towards our staff has sadly become a daily reality which is unfair, undeserved and unacceptable. So please be understanding of us too.

From 25th September the Practice will be displaying a Track and Trace QR code throughout the building. To comply with government guidelines patients are asked to scan the code if possible but only if they are required to specifically enter the building. Please do not scan the code if you are not physically entering the building.


Private Reports - Information

Private reports will be accepted and passed on to the GP partners to be completed but please be aware of the following:

  • They are "private work" which means that they cannot be completed in NHS time- they are completed in the GP's private time.
  • This means there may be a significant delay in the GP completing the form.
  • You will be charged a fee for this work, please enquire about the cost so that you are prepared.
  • Practice staff are not involved in the completion of these reports. Staff involvement is limited to the scanning on of the report into your medical record, possibly printing off any information required for the completion of the report and then handing over to the GP partner. The form will then be handed back to staff once completed, documented as completed, then, if required, posted on or to contact you for collection.
  • Be aware that this is the full limitation of staff involvement and they can only pass messages on that you have contacted the practice to enquire about your report so please be patient and remember that staff are there to help as much as they can but completing reports is at the total discretion of the GP. Please allow at least 84 days for the report to be completed before contacting the surgery.

It has been designed with the patient’s needs at the forefront of everything, from checking surgery times to letting us know what you think of us.

Serving You

Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues. The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your home such as order a repeat prescription or cancel an appointment.

Partners in Care

Once registered, patients and healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership philosophy extends even further and our active patient group exists to make sure that patient needs and the practice offering are always heading in the same direction.


We aim to provide suitable access for all disabled persons visiting the practice. The majority of consulting rooms are on the ground floor. Two clinic rooms are located on the first floor.  A lift is available for disabled persons and those less able to access the rooms via the stairs. Our reception staff will assist patients wishing to use the lift.

Guide/Assistance Dogs

We welcome assistance dogs into the premises and will arrange a tour of the premises for patients with their guide/assistance dog to help in the event of attending for future appointments.  Please ask at reception.



The Practice takes it very seriously if a member of staff or one of the doctors or nursing team is treated in an abusive or violent way.

The Practice supports the government's 'Zero Tolerance' campaign for Health Service Staff. This states that GPs and their staff have a right to care for others without fear of being attacked or abused. To successfully provide these services a mutual respect between all the staff and patients has to be in place. All our staff aim to be polite, helpful, and sensitive to all patients’ individual needs and circumstances. They would respectfully remind patients that very often staff could be confronted with a multitude of varying and sometimes difficult tasks and situations, all at the same time.  The staff understand that ill patients do not always act in a reasonable manner and will take this into consideration when trying to deal with a misunderstanding or complaint.

However, aggressive behaviour, be it violent or abusive, will not be tolerated and may result in you being removed from the Practice list and, in extreme cases, the Police being contacted.

In order for the practice to maintain good relations with their patients the practice would like to ask all its patients to read and take note of the occasional types of behaviour that would be found unacceptable:

  • Using bad language or swearing at practice staff
  • Any physical violence towards any member of the Primary Health Care Team or other patients, such as pushing or shoving
  • Verbal abuse towards the staff in any form including verbally insulting the staff
  • Racial abuse and sexual harassment will not be tolerated within this practice
  • Persistent or unrealistic demands that cause stress to staff will not be accepted. Requests will be met wherever possible and explanations given when they cannot
  • Causing damage/stealing from the Practice's premises, staff or patients
  • Obtaining drugs and/or medical services fraudulently
We ask you to treat your GPs and their staff courteously at all times.

Removal from the practice list

A good patient-doctor relationship, based on mutual respect and trust, is the cornerstone of good patient care. The removal of patients from our list is an exceptional and rare event and is a last resort in an impaired patient-practice relationship. When trust has irretrievably broken down, it is in the patient’s interest, just as much as that of the practice, that they should find a new practice. An exception to this is on immediate removal on the grounds of violence e.g. when the Police are involved.

Removing other members of the household

In rare cases, however, because of the possible need to visit patients at home it may be necessary to terminate responsibility for other members of the family or the entire household. The prospect of visiting patients where a relative who is no longer a patient of the practice by virtue of their unacceptable behaviour resides, or being regularly confronted by the removed patient, may make it too difficult for the practice to continue to look after the whole family. This is particularly likely where the patient has been removed because of violence or threatening behaviour and keeping the other family members could put doctors or their staff at risk.
