Clinical Commissioning Group

NHS Doncaster CCG

The Doncaster Clinical Commissioning Group (DCCG) is a formal sub-committee of the NHS South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw board. They are a clinically led committee, which is working alongside NHS Doncaster to effectively and efficiently commission health services for the people of Doncaster. DCCG does not have a legal standing but has been given delegated responsibility for budgets of over £550 million each year from April 2013.  The Clinical Commissioning Group accredited by the new NHS Commissioning Board is able to provide services that improve health and reduce heath inequalities in the borough.

The GP practices in Doncaster are allocated into 5 local groups of which White House Farm Medical Centre is part of the South East Group.  Each of the local groups has elected 2 GPs who represent local practices on the DCCG board.   One of our GPs attends a monthly meeting of the South East Group, to discuss, consider and agree services, budgets and future clinical developments of the people across Doncaster.    The minutes of these meetings are available for public access.

For further information see the DCCG Section of the NHS Doncaster website, including details of Committee meetings.

NB:  We are keen to be part of the working groups of the DCCG as they hold the funding (budget) which is available for all patient services/prescribing across Doncaster.  We can have a say in how the funding across Doncaster is used and how we can better influence the decisions which effect our patient group.
