Noticeboard

It has come to our attention that certain comments have been posted on social media concerning White House Farm Medical Centre.

There is always a GP available on the premises and the comment stating there was "no Doctor" is incorrect.

We have a self service machine available in the reception area for you to record weight and Blood pressure.

Please ask our reception staff for a token to use this.

NHS APP for Covid Pass

A letter with the QR code can be requested by ringing 119.

The Covid pass is on the NHS App.

If you require the QR code  for your children 12 years and over via the NHS App, they need to have the App in their own name. This means assessment of the child and an appointment with a GP is necessary. Please arrange this well in advance of your planned holiday. Thank you.

We are now offering telephone appointments which can be booked either through online services or the NHS App.

If you are coming to the surgery for a face to face appointment, please attend on your own and wear a face mask. Adults who require physical or emotional support can have one carer or relative attend with them if not having someone present would cause distress or difficulty.

Children can be accompanied by one parent or legal guardian.

We are actively looking to secure a new GP but at the moment we have a selection of regular locum Gp's working with us. We believe that continuity of care is important to patients so we are trying to keep the change of staff to a minimum but hope you can bear with us on this matter.

White House Farm Medical Centre is a training practice and we regularly have medical students at the practice. Some of these are on short rotations of 7 weeks (3rd and  4th year students), but we also currently have two 3rd year students coming to the practice once a week for a year.

We also have three registrars at the practice. These are qualified doctors who are doing their GP training and they see patients during this time. They are supported by the practice and Dr Thullimalli is their trainer.

Practice Management

Mrs Kim Whitehead - Manager

Kim's main job role is to manage the running of the practice.  She states that her work is extremely varied, perhaps at one point dealing with a patient enquiry, or another having a strategic meeting with the local commissioning group.

The main role of Practice Management is to ensure the practice runs smoothly.  But also, that patients and patient services are managed well, that the premises are safe and clean, that people who work at the practice have a good working environment and are well trained.  The list of jobs within her job description are many but with the support of a good team she is able to provide information and support to the doctors and nursing team and manage the practice for the benefit of our patients.

Mrs Ruth Gay Fewster - Assistant Manager (f)

Gay joined the practice in April 2021 as Assistant Manager.

She has previously worked in an administrative role in general practice.
